![]() ![]() If you are a fan of slasher movies, I highly recommend this series! The art is also great and perfectly fits the mood of the book. It also is heavily influenced by gun violence, the pandemic, and other staples of today’s media culture. It focuses on the world that the slasher lives in, instead of the slasher themself. This is a great satire of the slasher genre. Newly appointed Maniac Task Force Director Gina Greene and disgraced NYPD detective Zelda Pettibone are sick of the world they are living in and have decided enough is enough: it’s time to end the Maniac. The city and its citizens go about there normal lives understanding that at any moment, they may become another victim. Set four years after Harry the Maniac goes on a brutal killing spree on New Years Eve in Times Square, the city of New York has come to terms that there is no defeating the Maniac. 1 The Death Train collects issues 1-5 of the Aftershock Comics series written by Elliot Kalan with art by Andrea Mutti. ![]()
